How much memory do i need?

I am currently building my computer, on my nividia nforce 650i ultra motherboard i have four slots for ddr2 memory, i have to chips of 2gb memory which eqauls 4gb.is this enough or to much memory , should i go with 6gb or even 8gb, is that to much i need to know the proper and strongest amount of memory for this motherboard?

For most people 2 to 4 is plenty. If you want to use 4 make sure you get a 64 bit OS(Vista 64 bit or XP X64). If not you will see between 3 and 3.6 gigs of ram.....

Yea since anything beyond 4 gig in a 32 bit system doesnt even get used. Stick with what you got. Anything above is a waste of money unless in a 64bit system.

Never heard of Centon memory. If it's Crucial/Corsair/G.Skill/Patriot/Kingston/Adata than I've heard of it. Do you have a link to this Centon memory?

Interesting company based out of CA. I would rather buy a brand that I know, but maybe you know this company better than me. I'd personally buy online from my favorite e-tailer and get the brands that I listed above. I have no knowledge on Centon, so take what you will from my opinion.
