Hello,

When I start my computer a black screen with a msg. Diskette drive 0 seek failure
Press F1 to continue, f2 to enter setup
This has never happened in the past Not being computer savvy plus being old would someone please help me

Computer make/model ?

Whats old, you or computer ?

Diskette 0 or Disk 0 ?

When the error occurs
In BIOS setup (F2), look for the Diskette Drive option and set that to OFF. Be sure to save the change before exiting BIOS setup.

If the change doesn't 'stick', it's possible the motherboard battery died and needs to be replaced.
