I am in the process of researching a new rig. Primarily used for gaming I want to take advantage of the new E8400's. (non-crossfire or sli)
I have had some success which I will post later but at the same time i am running into some areas where I could use your advice.
Primarily I am dissatisfied with all that I am reading about the latest ASUS offerings in MB's.
My question then:

1. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813186133

or

2. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128080

Points:
> I do not know that much about OC ing--but I might like to learn later.
> I have designed my homebuilds before but I tend to be concerned with cooling and stay with air not water cooled systems.
> I will likely stay with XP Pro for the moment--as I read far too much about Vista that tends to put me off.
> I do not particularily enjoy fooling about with a system--I much prefer one that works and allows me to get on with my gaming etc.
> Pricepoint is a concern and I might go as high as $230, but again I am not satisfied with ASUS atm.
> I will also stay with DDR2 800 or 1066 although I believe the 800 is more than good enough for what i intend.
> I understand both of the above MB's will support the E8400.

Thoughts regarding these two MB's please and any other suggestions--and why?

Thank you for your input.
