Hi all!

Just got an 8800 GT from Dabs this morning, trying to boot with the card in results in no video output but an otherwise normal boot. Also 1 long, 2 short beeps (graphics code I think!) I've definately got enough power and I've connected the 6-pin auxiliary power connector.

I've noticed that the card rests hard against 2 caps on my motherboard, so I'm wondering if those are actually stopping it going in all the way, it looks like it might want to be another couple of mm down. Alternatively it might be a duff card, but I don't have another machine I can test it in.

What do you recommend I do? I may buy a new motherboard anyway as I may have to give this one back to it's actual owner in a month or so. My setup is as follows:

Win XP Pro SP 2
MSI motherboard - MSI S775 VIA PT890 ATX (http://tinyurl.com/22o8al)
Intel Pentium D 915 Socket 775 2.8GHz
4 GB DDR2 RAM
550W PSU

Thanks in advance for any help!

Honestly shockeroo would stay away from dabs because i have heard complaints about them in the past, not saying there is anything wrong with your card ,i just suggest you buy from elsewhere in the the future.
