High def Video playback Probloms

Alright i have posted here before about what I'm going to build and i have but I'm having a few problems with it i am hopeing soemone here can help me first Specs

Intel DG33TL Motherboard (Updated BIOS)
Q6600 2.4 Quad Core
4X1 GB Sticks DDR 800 Patriot Ram
500 GB SATA Hard Drive
1X DVD Writer (IDE)
7950GT 256 Currently( I have an 8800GT but it was Faulty sent it back to get replaced)
Rosewill case

So the problem I'm having is running things i start up very fast witch i do like and can play games. I want to watch a movie this movie happens to be a 720P movie so i load it in any number of media players MPC, VLC Zoom, Windows Media player 11, and the movies sounds great but no picture this is what i have to do to get movies in 720 playing not doing anything on my computer even background Yahoo aim and msn forget it i have them all turned off i restart my computer then exit all applicable apps and then i load the movie in and it plays can anyone help me with this at all?

Your video card does not have any HD decoding ability so it is all being done by the processor...though I would think the q6600 could handle it... you say the movie is in 720P, but what resolution are you running Windows at and what are you viewing it on?

I have two monitors on the system both running one Viewsonic 22 in LCD 1680X1050 and a Samsung 32 in LCD running at also 1680X1050 i have Core AVC for my codec the Files are in the MKV container and im movieng the video to my 32 in LCD that display is connected though and DVIto HDMI cord
