I've been thinking about getting a sound card and let me tell you, finding reviews and comparisons is a pain... but I did find a good review from just a week ago.

Anyway... after considering price and such, I'm thinking I'll go with an Creative X-Fi card... I'd like to get one with X-RAM as well (I know it's not used much at all).

but I really don't want to pay the price for the font panel features... so I'm just wondering if any of the X-Fi cards with X-RAM support me plugging in my cases front panel audio? My case supports HD-Audio, AC97, and something else I can't remember, lol.

Thanks for any input on this,
TK.

The only card in the Creative range that support the front panel are:

http://au.creative.com/products/pr [...] 5853&nav=1
http://au.creative.com/products/pr [...] 5855&nav=1
http://au.creative.com/products/pr [...] 6770&nav=1

None of which have the X-RAM (although this is a bit of a gimmick).

Other options are to go for the champion series

OR you could goto the Auzentech Prelude which is actually fairly expensive still but does have the X-RAM and front panel connector.

Thank you... that's the exact info I needed. I've tried looking at the creative site, but didn't see any info on case front panel support.

thanks again!
TK.
