I am currently building a secondary machine for my wife that she will use for general office stuff and a maybe a little video editing. The setup includes an E2140 proc, 650i ultra mobo, one hdd, one dvd writer, and a 7600gt video card. I will be adding a sound card and wifi card when I part out an older system. Also, I will by moderately oc'ing just because.
I have a choice to make about the PSU that I use. Right now it has an Antec Earthwatts 430w. I also have an Ultra 600w X-Finity lying around that has never been used. I purchased it some time ago by simply paying for the shipping costs after receiving the MIR. I just couldn't pass up the deal.
Anyone have any opinions regarding these two PSU's? I'm leaning toward continuing to use the Antec for its efficiency and active PFC and keep the Ultra as a spare or something. I really don't think that overall watts is an issue. I used the calculator on Antec's website and I think it advised that I would need just over 300 watts with this setup which won't be chaning anytime soon.
