I have a Toshiba Tecra A1 laptop with a dead hard drive.

MK3021GAS Toshiba 30GB Universal Laptop Hard Disk Drive
* Form Factor: Internal
* Interface Type: DMA/ATA-100 (Ultra)
* Storage Capacity: 30GB
* Data Transfer Rate: 100MB
* Spindle Speed: 4200
* Average Seek Time: 12ms
* Buffer: 2MB

I looked at Toshiba's web site and their replacement drives were quite expensive (120GB@$180, 250GB$291). So, am I correct in thinking that an ATA6 drive will fit the same interface? If so, I am aware that it will function with ATA5 limitations. I've picked out a couple possible replacements. Which would you choose? Suggestions welcomed.

1. WD Scorpio WD2500BEVE, 250GB, 8MB cache, 5400rpm, 12ms seek, 5.5ms lacency, ATA6, 2.5" ...$80
2. Seagate Momentus 5400.3 ST9120822A, 120GB, 5400rpm, 8MB Cache, 11ms seek, 5.56ms lacency ATA-6.....$60
3. WD Scorpio 120GB, ATA-100, 5400, 12ms seek, 5.5ms lacency, 8MB ...$65

Those should work fine, and I'd probably go for the WD 250 - I'm always amazed at how fast I burn through storage, and it's only a little more expensive than the 120's. Also, if you really want to save money, consider this:

It's the same price as the 120s, but with 40 more GB.
