No network connectivity

Hello, I have just installed XP professional on a Windows Vista Platform Compaq machine. Even though it sees 1394 network adapter it does not show me any LAN connections or signals to allow me to connect to the internet. The Processor is an AMD 64 and not Intel. Where can I get the right drivers to allow me to resolve this problem.
