Hello,

I am using Corsair xms 2gb ddr pc800..

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820145034

anyways, cpu-z shows my timing at 5-5-5-18 with the voltage set at 1.8v

the specifcations call for
Timing 4-4-4-12
Voltage 2.1V

my question is should i change mine to the recommended specs?? and if so will I even see a difference.. also I looked in my bios and i didnt see where to make the changes??

I should add that my pc runs like a top now and never ever crashs.. so all is well.

This is a very common issue with motherboards. Especially if u use a memory not in listed motherboard supported memories. All you have to do is set the timings manually and ur good to go. Very easy and simple. In fact always good to set timings manually because then u know what the settings are at all times.

If your board doesnt support memory ocing, i would just leave it alone then. Not to much of a change unless ur an extreme comp user and if that was true ud have a board with memory oc features.
