Price isn't so bad.

If I had an SLI mobo, I'd pay $150.

I have the same card. Not a bad deal as they are $200 AR new now.

Seeing Belmar and your eagles name make me think of the American Eagle party boat out of Belmar. I used to hit that one or the Jamaica out of Brielle. Been years since I've gone but want to do another Canyon yellowfin trip again. If they are running, it's a blast and some fine eating too. Oh well, wrong forum. But I'm assuming someone from Belmar knows what I'm talking about. ;)

Isn't the 3850 512MB a better deal these days?

I think the 8800GTS runs quieter though.

I actually have the HD3850 and 8800GTS 320MB and hope to find the time to pit them against each other. I suspect more often than not the 8800GTS will win. But yeah, the 3850 was alot less money and more bang for the buck. I do like the 8800GTS cooler though.

I just mentioned the new newegg price as he got $142 + shipping for a used one.

Oh yeah I know that.

It's just that since the 3850 has 512MB, it'll most likely fair better in resolutions above 1280 x 1024. It's also cheaper too, so...8800GTS 320MB may not be worth it at $200.

Anyways, I await your results. :)

I had a 8800GTS 320mb vanilla and got rid of it for $220, I sitting this graphiic card battle on the sidelines. The used market has just about collapsed since the new cards will offer better performance at just about all the mass market price points
