I am building a completely new system. I am selling my old Dell PC. I purchased a copy of Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 with a piece of hardware and installed in on my Dell PC in a dual boot with Dell's XP home. I am removing Windows XP MCE from the Dell. Can I install it on my new PC and how do I transfer the EULA and activate it?

OEM version or retail version? Either way, just install it on the new system and when it asks you to activate it, do so. It will tell you if it failed and you will have to do it over the phone. Do that. If the person on the other end of the phone asks you if you have this software already installed on another computer, you won't be lying in telling them no. If they ask why you are installing it on a new computer, just tell them that the old computer broke and you had to use some new components to fix it. Problem solved.
Yeah, Like me, I had that prob with Vista, built a new system, and just told them we built a new system and the old hard drive it was going on would be formatted and or thrown away.
Never had any trouble transferring Windows XP to a new computer... I have the original original pre service pack 1 version. The Microsoft Customer Support let it fly for me
