USB Keyboard Not Working at Login

So here is my problem. I had a loss of power on one of my Optiplex 330's. They keyboard was working fine until then.

Once I restard my computer the keyboard does not work at the login screen.

However I can remote into the desktop and login to the desktop from there and the keyboard works fine.

Anyone know how to resolve this issue to prevent it from happening in the future?

I am running Windows XP on the machine.

Have you tried plugging the keyboard into a different usb port?
