Great. That's exactly what I needed. Thank you. If I partition a disk with things already on it, will it mess up the disk?

Actually I just resized my main disk so I could have a new partition for windows 7 and it worked perfectly fine. I didnt lose any files.

I have 32-bit Vista. If I create a partition on my new hard drive for Windows 7, can I have that there and Vista?

I created a new partition on my main 500GB HD with Disk Management so now its a dual boot system with Vista 32-bit and Windows 7 64-bit. So far things are running smooth. Also If you didnt know the activation keys are being released now. It was limited to 2.5 million but because of their screw up with the servers they are going to keep issuing them until jan 24th. There also doesnt seem to be a limit to how many you can get. I got both the 32-bit and 64-bit keys.

Exactly! Partition magic is a nice partition tool. But what I used to manage my partition was easeus partition manager as it claims to be the alternative to partition magic. Well, it has several editions: home edition, professional edition and sever edition. And home edition is FREE of charge. :bounce:
