My vista laptop is not recognising the cd in it what can i do

iv put a childs learning cd in my viasta laptop and its not recognising it what should i do?

Does it show anything in windows explorer if you click on the CD Drive? Does it recognise other discs that you put in? If it does it may be a faulty disc. Try it in some one elses drive.If it doesnt it may be a faulty CD drive
