Why does my video capture not working

Hello,
I own Pinnacle Studio version 10 and have installed it on my laptop. When I try to capture the video via the USB port from my camcorder, the program does not reconize the camcorder. Why not?

Because you need to press the play button on the camcorder if it is connected by USB. Total remote control by the Studio program requires a FireWire connection.
