Here is my problem.

I am using a new EVGA 650i Ultra with a new e4400 CPU. I am using my old HDD with XP. I now have svchost taking up a huge amount CPU time. I do not think it is a virus.

Here is my list of items from the cmd then tasklist/svc

AudioSrv,
BITS,
rowser,
Dhcp,
dmserver,
ERSvc,
EventSystem,
FastUserSwitchingCompatibility,
helpsvc,
lanmanserver,
lanmanworkstation,
Netman,
Nla,
RasMan,
Schedule,
eclogon,
SENS,
SharedAccess,
ShellHWDetection,
srservice,
TapiSrv,
Themes,
TrkWks,
W32Time,
winmgmt,
wscsvc,
wuauserv

Some of the items I do not know what service they are. It seems like alot to me. I do have Auto updates off.

Any direction would very helpful.
