had to use this cause stock cpu cooler over-hangs on top of 2 memory slots- wanted x-tra cooling due to fact I'm gonna over clock this bad boy big time.
anyway, waiting until tomorrow for cpu cooler then I can start putting the rest of the case together.

not sure which card or cards I should buy, ati or wait for new nvidia card? this mobo does not support sli so...?
also a note for anyone using this board, the stock cooler that came with my cpu[9650] does block 2 ram slots so had to go with waterblock which I was planning on doing anyway but if your not planning on using watercooling beware! this is my first build! thanks in advance for comments

If you notice, he is buying the MOST expensive components he can buy. If he wanted bang for the buck, his build probably wouldn't have any of the components it has now.

so what about this, two of these would be better than one 8800ultra? I have everything but the cards and am hesitant to buy anything due to whats coming out in the next couple of months. also, all the games I play always seem to be in with nvidia since they all have nvidia on the load screen, almost like the game was created with nvidia products in mind. maybe I'm way off base on that? do the 3870's run great without watercooling or would I have to watercool them? I'm not locked into spending the most money on gear, I am into quality, and if your going to spend money on a product might as well get the most bang for your money . I'm a 50 year old gamer who has a good job and makes good cake so like nice things. wasn't there a 1 gig ati card 2900 or ? can't seem to find it anywhere
