If using Vista AND gaming 3GB is the min for RAM. I bought 4GB and Vista sees 3.5GB, not bad. But it could very well be a resource problem. When I used to play Hellgate London, the game ITSELF would use 1.5GB of RAM. Which is just about hitting the RAM limit for once proces in windows 32 bit(2GB). Try playing with very low settings and see if it crashes, could be specific setting as well. Could also be a backround process Antivirus etc. Go to task manager and end everything under your username except explorer.exe and taskmgr.exe

No guys

Its a known problem in Vista, nothing else. (you can google it)
They sent out an update to fix it but it still happens once in a while
I sometimes get the same thing on CoH

I rarely get a problem where the game used to crash instantly when it was started, before it even could pop up. I used to get a driver not responding error in LOTR:BFME several times in a row (3 to be exact, when I finally exited the game it popped up 3 times), but the game kept chugging along. As said, maybe it's a Vista thing.

I know exactly what hes talking about

sadly I cant find the update but if you automatically update it should have downloaded, but personally it does nothing.

The game shuts down and says it recovered with nvlddmkm as the driver. I think they are fixing it with SP1
