my p35-ds3r fsb only goes to 360. i tried everything, and am cool & super stable at 360fsb, but it won't go higher. ever heard of this? i use all stock settings, and eased up from 266 by 2 at a time, til 360fsb. it's stable, but won't go past 360fsb. pls help. could the fsb just be bad? is it limited to 360 only/forever? kindly reply, thanks. tom L.

You could have hit the CPU wall, try lowering the multiplier to see if it will budge further. Try raising the voltage a tad too.

hi. thanks 4 the news. i have e6320, and i took the multiplier down to 6x, and only could get 360fsb same. i came up from 266fsb 2 at a time, and i am cool & super stable at 360fsb, but nothing more than 360fsb. i used all stock auto settings, and it came up great, but won't pass 360fsb. u r welcome, 4 sure, to comment. tom L.

hi. personally, i think i hit the 'fsb wall', but in the web, 470 seems 4 sure to get to. maybe i got a bad board? it runs 4 6 months great.

Try increasing your RAM voltage.

its not good theory.

Also, what is your memory RATIO set at?

I have a P35-DS3R rev2.1 and it supports 400 fsb officialy. It can go higher but thats the official spec. You could check if a BIOS update helps. But I would have to agree that the RAM is the most likely cause.

hi u guys. i was tryin to conquer this, when i got disabled, and set to 266fsb and 1.86ghz on my e6320. i think i got the vcore ok, cuz just today i'm controlling all the set Auto settings. vcore says 1.38v, and i get 2 the desktop ok, for awhile, and it sounds like you're on it, about the ram. i have corsair 6400c4 2 gigs twin, and it was on auto, from 266fsb, up by 2 at a time, to 360fsb, where i was stuck. when i set the cpu freq in bios, the ram went to 1.904v, and after awhile, i was doing good, by having ddr2 overvoltage control at +0.2v, but still it would bomb, after awhile, mind u, so i've been playing w/ manual timing of the ram. i set it at 5-5-5-15, like some guy i read today, but that bombed, so i did conservative at 5-5-5-18, but that bombed too, so, since +0.2 ddr2 overvoltage got me ddr 2.032v, i thought that was close enuf to 4-4-4-12 at 2.1v like corsair said, so i tried that, but it tried 3 times to boot, then threw me out, as an overclocker, and i'm jumped on the opportunity to read the forums, since at least i can get online. i'm gonna study system memory multipier now, cuz i read that ddr2 800 ram should use 3.0 memory multipier, but i'm still bombing in the ram, w/ vcore at 1.38v and ram at 4-4-4-12 but now disabled, i will look into system memory multipier, and be sure 2 set that right. cheers, tom L.

zenmaster, hi. what do u mean 'what is my memory ration set at?' like the 5-5-5-15 or 5-5-5-18 timings? sorry, but i don't know, from how u said it. u could ask again.

oh, GB123, i put in the f11 bios a while back.

hey, thanks 4 the direction & help, u guys. i figured to keep my ram at rated speed, so it turned out a 1:1 ratio (mr. zenmaster), and i got the 'stuck' 360fsb up to 390, and i only stopped there, so i could come and post the good news, that is fruit of cool effort expended, and i say, good put commentary. cheers to friends at tomshardware. may u all get a free 9600 card in the mail, duh. see ya, tom L.

hi. well, i oc'd my fsb on e6320 to 515, but bombed there. at 514fsb, i could do, but it was weak. so, along like this, i'm down at fsb510 toolin around. i'm gonna work soon on to set my oc, somewhere strong enuf, and so maybe anyone know ideas about how to maximize the ram/ corsair 6400c4 2 gig twin/ since i just got it set on 1:1 ratio, and i've seen it work better. any ideas of ram tweak guide 2 see?
