fan keep runing after new install. this is a 400w coolermaster. Installed in a Hp pavilion a6700w stock . no work load idle state. did have a minnor issue with the mobo connect 20/24 pin set up . 4 pin came loose . would like to se if there is any other input on this issue.

If it is like that, its OK. BTW the 4pin has 2 teeth to lock with 20pin to make 24pin.

Older mobos come with 20pin and newer are 24pin, therefor u don't have to change the PSU if u upgrade the mobo, when it comes to that.

well the p/s was working fine and then the pc stops working . I went into the case re-seated the mobo cables starts up fine than stops working reseat the connectors agian works fine , got a call today not working agian . me think its mobo any ideas

BTW, post specs for the PC and how old is the PSU?

Hp pavilion a6700w stock. had a 300 watt replacement is a 400 w . so 100w more then spec.
