I'm a gamer and I would like to setup a Intel system. This time I plan to OC my CPU, but I'm a newbie in OC. Thus I planning to go for the cheaper processor first and I need help in selecting CPU & the brand graphic card.

I read some articles regarding the Biostar T-Power I45, said that it can break the FSB 600 barrier, have a very good OC ability. But few guys saying they encounter some issues in using Vista as the OS and having some problem when using Crossfire with the new ATI driver. Does anyone know about this? how to overcome it?

Is it true that crossfire can be use by install two difference class of card? Like 4870 + 3850.

My config will be as follows:
- Intel E2180 oe E2200
- Biostar T-Power I45
- 1GB of Kingston Hyperx 1066 x 2
- PC Power & Cooling, Silencer 750 Quad Crossfire
- one ATI 4870
- Thermalright IFX-14 or Zalman CNPS9700 LED

I would recommend getting a e7200 and overclocking that as the e2180 or e2200 is severely handicapped.

E7200 is your best bet price-wise. You can get it to 4.2 and what not I believe. Also for Crossfire you need 2 of the same series, you cant mix and match a 3000 and a 4000.

^Go with the E7200 they are very good at OC and are cool and stable with a after market HSF. You can mix HD48** but crossfire will dumb the faster card to the speed of the slowest one. I'm pritty sure it wont work with HD3*** with the HD4*** series card but why would you do it anyway its just a waste of performance/money.

E7200? I used to OC AMD Athlon, but failed. So this time I plan to using the cheaper processor, if fail again, I would so hurt?

For the crossfire, just want to know. Not intend to setup as this way.
