ok THG had a review up on their site of the 3870 X2 but it got taken down :(

it was here: http://www.tomshardware.com/2008/01/23/ati_r680_the_rage_fury_maxx_2/

i guess they jumped the gun a bit, and unfortunately i pressed the next page button and when it didnt load i tried to go back but it couldnt find it, so i guess we have to wait a bit more...

*ahh damn i didnt see a thread about this already

Any idea when it's gonna be back up since according to what you are saying, there are several other sites breaking NDA around the net.

lol. well it performs about 70-90% better in supcom then the hd 3870, beats the 8800ultra by a smallish margin in AoE3. loses by about 25% in test drive unlimited.

thats all i can remember.

Cooler uses a hybrid heatsink - Aluminum front copper back (blocks) - Heavy as well. Core at 825 and it uses DDR3 memory at [I believe] 900Mhz.

Crysis:
3870x2 : 29fps @ 1920x1200 (High) and 19fps @ 1920x1200 - 4aa x 8af (High)

World in Conflict:
3870x2 : 47fps @ 1920x1200 and 35fps @ 1920x1200 4aa x 8af

Overall Average FPS in games:
3870x2 beats 8800 Ultra by 15%

All that I retained from reading.

NDA and launch date appear to have been pushed back to the 28th so ATi can release the cards with their new drivers :??: ; probably for the sake of reviewers and nice initial performance figures. ( I wouldn't mind having my card first of course and then waiting for the drivers :( )
