Audigy vs MOBO HD Audio

Hi guys
i recently built a new system q6600 HD3870 and MOBO Asus P5K-E
i have an old ( maybe 4 years or more ) Creative Audigy 2 ZS with external console
so what would you say is preferable the onboard card or the old Audigy?

Do you have decent speakers? are you using Vista?

without good speakers you wont notice the difference.

I dont think vista has drivers that support audigy2 yet

Im currently in a student appartment so i am using a TEAC reciever with stereo
speakers (hi quality) but its only for music listening ( not set to the sitting position of the computer ) , so when im playing its usually with senheizer headphones.....
oh and using XP so no problem with drivers , like i wrote ive been using this card for more than 4 years and it never had any problems or malfunctions
and after using the ALC883 for a day i am pretty sure ill install the creative card cuz i really dont like the sound managing programs it has...

In that case i believe the output from the Audigy on a 2 channel system will sound much cleaner than the onboard.
