What do I need in the way of graphics card or cards to run dual monitors at max resolution?

If I use two monitors and one card, do I split the max spec resolution between both monitors?

Do I have to look for any specific spec like "dual-link" to get the max performance?

Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If the monitors are the same native resolution you will be able to stretch your desktop across both monitors, or you could set them up as two separate monitors with their own resolutions and refresh rates. If both monitors are at a cards max resolution then you might have a problem other wise most any video card will be able to handle two desktops.

Hi, I've got 2 brand new Samsung SyncMaster 2343BW's (23"with a resolution of 2048x1152) When connected to my Nvidia 7800GT only the first display wil have the max resolution, the 2nd display ony gets to 1680x1050.. how can i fix this?

When forcing higher resolutions through the Nvidia control panel nothing happens, even when forcing HD.

thanks,
AJ
