PCI Slot Death?

Hey all, jus lost my internet connection. dont know wat happened, my sys crashed jus as crysis loaded up to main screen, so i had to reboot.

On reboot my Internet connection was lost, triyed uninstall reinstall of drivers, and nothing, so then i tried my nic card in another (my only other) PCI slot which was taken up by a vid capture card, plugged in the Netgear311a adapter and worked perfectly even without the Netgear drivers windows whacked in some realtek drivers.

Has my other PCI slot died? is that even possible? may try swapping back and seeing wat happens.

any thoughts or suggestions wud b appreciated
