is there a way to have windows auto set thread priority when it detects an application start up?

would be used mostly for game purposes, and some video editing

system is a best-buy asus g51vx-rx05 so the CPU dosent have the most snot, and I dont have enough on hand to upgrade

so I figured id give some tweaking a shot

thanks in advance :bounce:

when I given application is launched I want windows to automatically set its resource priority to high instead of normal

example would be I launch skyrim, the skyrim launcher opens I then hit play and the TESV exe startsup, windows recognizes that the TESV exe is running, and instead of assigning it normal priority, it instead assigns it High thread priority

another example would be that I have a video encode start, in this one ill use the Xfire encoder, same scenario as before, when the application starts, windows assigns it a High priority instead of Normal

hope this clears up what I meant

yep i know, but in the case of alot of full screen games once you force mini it it wont come back, which negates the benefits unfortunately, thanks for the response though
