Hey, I replaced my motherboard with a Gigbyte DS3L today, and I start it up, the power goes up(The power LED starts) and I can hear the CPU fan kicking up, the HD start spinning, but before even a two seconds, it shuts down. I tested the CPU/Video card/PSU on the previous motherboard and they work fine. My PSU is a 460watt, and the DS3L only requires 300(suggested), the RAM is new as well. What should I do? Is something DoA? How do I tell?

If you need more information, ask me. I am eager to get this fixed and start playing games again.

Pull the RAM, and see if you can get a POST, if not it is your MB, if you can then it is your RAM.
(please check that the manual/manufacturer site for RAM compatibility as well)

I saw this last wee, ended up being the cpu, when i told the owner he nearly cried....

Just swapout everything one by one until you find the problem.
