Need help with new laptop hard drive!

My mom has a Gateway NX860XL, which has a Seagate Momentus Model number: ST910021AS hard drive in it.

She wants an upgrade because it lacks the amount of memory she wants. She would like something with like 320 gigs....I haven't done a hard drive swap for a laptop before, how do I know which drives will fit in her laptop?

I was looking at one of these two, will they work/fit? Seagate Momentus 7200.3 ST9320421AS 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Notebook Hard Drive (Bare drive)

or

Western Digital Scorpio Black WD3200BEKT 320GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Notebook Hard Drive

Assuming her current hard drive is the SATA version, yes, both of those should be compatible. Also, if you can wait a bit, the Momentus 7200.4, in capacities up to 500GB, will be available soon.
