Okay Im 15 and I just finished my first build...
I am using the
GIGABYTE GA-G31M-S2L LGA 775 Intel G31 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

With the E7200 Wolfdale
and 2gb OCZ Platinum

So far I raised the bus to 333mhz (from 266) with a mult of 9.5
giving me 3.16ghz and I am keeping my vcore at 1.175
The cpu idles at ~34C in the bios with the cpu fan rpm at 2000/m

Should I go ahead and try to go any farther or what do i do?

I forgot to add my ram is DDR2 and currently is OC'd at 1000 from 800

what cooler?

Assuming a quality one, the fun part would be to take the multiplier down to 9, then bus and memory both running at 400.

I would hold and test that at 3.6 GHz, see how it behaves.

Lower your SPD to 2. Then download and run Prime95 for 8+hrs to see if you are stable. Also download RealTemp and monitor your temps.

change memory multiplier to 1:1 for real better performance along with lower timing.(or maybe you should leave the timing thingy)

^1:1 is SPD 2 on Gigabyte boards.

im start thinking that his 1000Mhz Ram OC is actually unstable since he havent blend tested it yet.

lol mate u only need to set ur mem at 667 not 1000! the extra MHz there is effectively wasted! :O

V3NOM i dont know why everyone is against mem ocing.
From my experience the higher the mem clock the higher the mem read/write/copy speed, even my mem latency is improved...
So why so anti ram ocing

^Because RAM is easily killed by OCing than CPU, because RAM is stupid.

Even it is running with 1.9v or max 2.0v?????

Even if it is running with 1.9v or max 2.0v with heatsink?????

Is that good?

Those temps are too bad but you can probably get them down lower with a good fan/heatsink such as a xigmatek s1283 and a good thermal compound.

You could probably get it down another 10C on full load.

Currently, i'm running a OC'd Q6600 @ 3.0Ghz and it never gets higher than 50C on full load.

Overclocking your ram doesn't make your fsb run any faster.
