A920 wont print

Hello,
I installed a Dell A920 on my laptop with a 32 bit Vista home premium system but it won't print. It shows in the status as printing. If I shutdown & restart, the document prints but then it reverts to the "no Print" status

    Run services.msc and see if print spooler has been stopped. If so click on it to restart. Fixing it for good is another Problem !


    Don't know if you had other DELL print drivers installed before your most recent install, but here is correct installation of a920.

    Thanks. I tried the Dell printer support group - got it to print but wouldn't scan or copy. Trying to fix this screwed up my Canon camera programme & had to go to Canon techie to get it fixed. I'v about decided to give up but will give this web site a try
  3. Tried a reinstall from the address above but no luck. Printer installed but did not print. Message came on about a communication problem Checked printer status & showed "printing" but nothing printed out. Next thing that happend it showed as "off-line" & I could not change the status. Still in trouble

    You probably already have owners manual, but just in case you don't.

  7. I uninstalled the printer, cleaned my registry & re-installed. Now through the "All in One Centre" I can scan & copy but the results don't print. The printer status shows the two documents (One scan & one copy) in ques but the printer shows as off line. When I open the drop down the "off line" is not ticked.
    So I'm still stuck with out any printing.
