Hello,
im crashing my dell tobring it up as if it came right out of the box but it keeps freezing on the window xp screen why and howmay i fix that

Hold down F8 during start up, there are several repair options on a dell.
The first one I would try is system restore, to set the computer back to a previous date in time.
If none of those work you will need to do repair install of the operating system. Look at the fourth post from the top in Tom's XP forum page for the directions.
