I'm most likely getting a 780i board and 2 8800GTs, maybe a third, I am looking around on newegg (any online dealer is fine by me) and I am having a hard time picking out the right PSU. I came here because my thread for my new build here

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/248485-31-feedback-required-high-build-post-revision

Has gotten no replies to my number one concern, the PSU unit. I plan to do Sli, since the 8800GT's are relatively cheap. So, my question is really.. what kind of PSU do I need for this setup?

My setup
■Case - COOLER MASTER Ammo 533 ATX Mid Tower [PURCHASED]
■Motherboard - EVGA 132-CK-NF78-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI $259.99
■Video Card (x2 Sli) - EVGA 512-P3-N801-AR GeForce 8800GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready $229.99
■Power Supply - OCZ GameXStream OCZ700GXSSLI ATX12V 700W $129.99
■CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W $229.99
■RAM (x2) - G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) $69.99 [PURCHASED x1]
■HDD (x2) - Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 ST3500320AS 500GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s $119.99
■Sound Card - Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer [PURCHASED]

Here is the PSU I was considering

OCZ GameXStream OCZ700GXSSLI ATX12V 700W $129.99

It only has 4 +12V rails rated at 18A which concerns me, I don't know enough about PSU units even after reading the sticky but I feel like I'm missing something here.

Tri-SLi needs 3 8800GTX or 8800Ultra cards. That's it, no GT, no GTS. OK, and a REALLY nice PSU, like the Enermax Galaxy 1000W. And a really good case - can't even think of one that can hold and cool that sort of thing right now.

What he means is, only the 8800GTX and Ultra will support tri-SLI so far, as they are the only cards with 2 SLI connectors on the top, and the only bridge I've seen for tri-SLI requires that. I'm pretty sure i read the only the GTX and Ultra will have support for tri-SLI.

All right. Let's see. First of all, I'd recoomend 8800GTS G92 cards instead of 8800GT. They are faster, and the improved coolers will help a lot especially for SLI.

Also, a mid-tower case may not handle that sort of setup well, again because of the massive heat. I'd recommend a full-tower like the Armor or CoolerMaster Stacker.

The GameXStream 700W is a good PSU and can handle those two cards. Still, if you can afford $10 more get a PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750W from www.buy.com.

@AEVM: Thank you for the suggestions, I do not mind spending more money.

I will come back and edit this post, I'm going to look into the G92 8800GTS
