I just wanted to say that my older system play crysis and is fun. its not pretty and is at 1024x768 all is set to low and no AA. It is a awsome game even at these setting. I read to much that crysis is such a hardware hog, that a am sure some dont try it for that fact. The machine is a Athlon x2 4600+, 2GB ram, 320GB PATA drive with a old AGP 9700 pro 128 meg card. The other thing i found out was that it would not play on my Celeron D 360 machine with ATI 1800xl 512 MB card , 2GB ram. I put a E4500 Core 2 duo in it and works ok on MED quality with just a few lags but its still a blast to play. so if you own a celeron your probably out of luck even if you own a 8800 gtx ultra.

Long story short if you have a dual core cpu and any newer 3d card I would give crysis at least a try.

I play on my 4 year old build of a 3.2 P4 (512kb cache) @ 3.50GHZ with an x800xl (x800pro died under warranty) and same resolution with low-medium graphics is fun! I totally agree with the poster. I just wanted to add on single core it is possible too.

I was going to try it on my laptop but it took longer to load than the battery life. It is fun on my desktop but the neighbors are complaining about the lights dimming and glowing power lines. Saving plenty on heating bills though as 2 8800GTX's will do a whole house.
