In NVIDIA MonitorView my GPU memory shows up at 900 mhz..

but on newegg where i got the card from, it says memory clock: 1700 mhz

is memory clock and GPU memory the same?

if they are the same y would it be so low?

Actually you're suppose to multiply 900MHz by 2 to get 1800MHz, which is higher than specified.

Well technically it is running at 900MHz, but being Double Data Rate (DDR) RAM, it transfers data twice per cycle, making it effectively 1800MHz, but not actually.
