HDD in bios, not windows disk management

Yea, so the HDD from my friends laptop gave an error (the 3rd time on 2 harddrives this has happend) saying that internal hardrive not found, and the first one was a corrution error. So i removed the hdd, and pluged it into my comp (ga ep45 ud3r with a q6600) and it shows up in the bios, but windows or disk manager, any ideas?

cheak the hard disk settings in bios, ahci, native settings. what laptop and hard drive is it?
