I'm looking for some really good RAM 2x2GB and this seems like a great deal. I plan on running an E8400 Wolfdale and 2 8800GTS 512MB in SLI.

Is DDR2 1000 better?

DDR2-800 is plenty for a normal user and without raising memory speeds at all can take an E8400 up to 3.6GHz(400MHz FSB) with a 1:1 memory ratio.

With the worst 800mhz ram, you can do the math: 800/2x9=3600. With better ram, you can o/c the e8400 higher than 3.6ghz. If you don't know which one, get the faster ram that gives you headroom for o/cing. But don't splurge on it though.
