Hi Guys,

My local computer store has a sale on for the viewsonic VA2226W 22 inch screen.. Whats your thoughts on this screen? it has a 5ms response time and a 2000:1 contrast ratio (or so they claim) which seem like pretty good specs to me.. Anyone have any experience with this screen?

also I am thinking of getting a PS3.. is it possible to run both my PC and PS3 through the one screen? do i need special cords to do this or some kind of tuner/switch box or something? is there also a box that could allow you to run and watch TV and a ps3 just off the screen itself without having a TV tuner card in the pc or having the pc on all together?

Cheers for your help guys :)

22in screen are 1680X1050 rez, so your PS3 won't be able to display 1080p in all his glory. 24" with their 1920X1200 and 1:1 pixel fit are the best choice afaik.

Also make sure the monitor is HDCP compliant.

Bros, how about if I have 24" LCD with no HDMI input,
can I find videocard that have HDMI-in to play PS3?

You don't need HDMI specifically, as HDMI is very close to DVI but it add sound in the mix. Just get a HDMI-DVI cable and you all set (you'll have to output sound through multi-connector or optical)

Of course, your monitor still need to be HDCP compliant, and you have to be able to adjust settings right in monitor menu (1:1 pixel, overscan, etc), as you don't have all the control a PC gives in the PS3.

Bro Kbits, I appreciate ur point, in my case the LCD is dell 30" 2560x1600, not sure whether this is HDCP compliant.
