Whats the difference between DVI-I, DVI-D, and most important, DVI-S.

I plan to get the Radeon 8500LE over at newegg that has dual CRT+DVIS. Right now I have a CRT, but plan on getting a DVI flat panel in the future. Does the different DVI "standards" in video cards really make a difference? Or will ANY DVI flat panel monitor work with them (especially with this 8500LE w/DVI-S)???
