Hey Guys,

Right now I have intel D975xbx rev 304 board. The problem is I'm not able to overclock the cpu because of the locked multplier on this board. Its killing me that I cant overclock this processor. MY temps are extremely low. I would want a motherboard to have the following features:

Crossfire or CrossfireX
supports DDR2 800
overclockable
budget under $350
possibly x48 or x38
pci 2.0 slots 3 if possible

Here's what I have:
Q6600 w/ zalman cnp9500 cpu cooler
2 HD3870's
4 gigs crucial ballastix DDR2 800
2 raptor 74 gig drives
corsairs hx620 power suppply
XP sp2
SOny DVD burner and SOny CD burner drives plus a floopy
Audigy 2zs

First of all the motherboard ISNT locking the multiplier the CPU is. Im not sure about intel boards but usually you can slowly increase the FSB, keeping an eye on voltages and stability to get an overclock with thw Q6600

x38 is about the only intel cpu chipset that will support crossfireX currently (x48 isnt worth it in my opinion). All intel chipsets will support DDR2 800.

You will NOT find a board with 3 PCI-e2.0 slots with intel CPU support. Currently 790FX is the only chipset that supports more than 2 PCI-e2.0 slots, however, its for AMD CPUs. What do you need 3 for anyways?

I would suggest Asus P5E range.
