Write over dvd&rw

Hello,
I have used openoffice document to write several pages. I saved this on a DVD+RW disk. I have since added pages and am trying to write over the old doc. get msg that disk is "write protected" How can I correct this? Thanks

It's possible the message is misleading and what actually happened is that you finalised the disk when you wrote to it the first tiome so it can't accept any more data.

Thanks for the info, How do I make sure that I do NOT finalize a new disk so I CAN write over it??

It would be a setting somewhere in whichever utility you use to write disks - probably an option to untick towards the end of the procedure.[/#000ff]
