What is maximum cd disk space

Trying to recover a computer with a dead cd drive. Bought an external drive and can boot from it. Getting error message on restore disk from toshiba indicating disk might be corrupt. Trying to copy it on another computer to a new cd and am getting disk is not large enough. Is there cd disks larger then 700 mb? Almost ready to give up and trash the computer.

Does it have to be copied to a CD ? Try large capacity pen drive.

USB pen drive would be the best choice. Just plug it in the USB port and another drive will appear in windows explorer and u can just drop files in there.

Than when full, just eject the drive and move it to another PC, transfer files there (than empty the drive) and comeback and repeat as many times as needed.
You can get 8GB drive for as low as $10.

I suspect your installation "CD" may in fact be a DVD. Do you have a DVD writer? Having said that, if your install DVD is corrupt then I very much doubt that copying it will solve the problem.
