PC Restarts at opening->>>BIOS Recovery

Last response: in Windows XP

Hi. This is the second time it happens. I basically press the power button on the PC, all the fans started and then they shut off. I've pressed it again. The fans started to spin for a few seconds but no POST or successful BOOT Beep. After 30 seconds or so the PC finally boots. It gets past POST and the it sais something like this "Bad bios checksum. Recovering from backup bios". After a couple of minutes the PC started as usual and now I'm writing for it.
Why is this happening?

Did you recently update your bios?

Nope. My BIOS was updated before the first crash occurred and after the crash I had to update it again. This morning after the second crash I've updated it again with the latest version.

Yes. Everything went nice and clean. The PC run well for months. It simply happened.

Did the BIOS get reset accidentally?If the problem persists, why not roll back to the last stable BIOS?

No. Every time when a BIOS recovery occurs, it overwrites the current BIOS with the first BIOS version.
Let's hope it won't happen again.
