Ok i have raised my voltage currently to 1.440 and my computer runs stable at a 3.8ghz. But i am wanting to take it to 4.0ghz but it keeps crashing anything above 3.8, i made sure i lowered the memory and stuff, but i cant seem to get it. Any help?

I run my E6750 at 3.2 GHz undervolted to 1.26V. The only game that presents a meaningful processor bottleneck is FSX, and that 'game' is just ridiculous. Why do you want 4GHz? Are you trying to break some records? If so 4GHz isn't nearly enough...

I just want a fast cpu lol, and lots of people have gotten their speed to 4.0 by raising the voltage and i only got mine to 3.8, and i am stuck from there.

I've read many a place that 1.5 is fine for that chip....i've got mine at 1.45 at 3.750GHz and decided thats good enough for me....untill new chips come out and mine looks even weaker that is lol. Theres no real need to push it farther than that unless you are going for bragging rights, at that speed it'll handle everything fine. The only way you'd see a differnce is if you do some very processor intensive stuff on it....I know for me every MHz speeds up MATLAB which is why i OCed in the first place, FFTs are lightning fast now...well maybe not that fast but still...but I still don't wanna push it any farther
