Wow, i'm unfortunate. I've had my computer for about a year and a half, the 8800 GTS for about 6 months. It's always been in the 8x PCi-express 16x slot on my motherboard!!! I just found this out after doing research for a new computer......... What does this mean? Obviously i'm going to switch it now but.. wow have i been missing out on like 20fps or something?
