The original arty at extremeoverclocking.com mentions the 1TB and 1.5TB HDs.

I have a 500G (ST3500320AS) and it is on the list of affected. http://seagate.custkb.com/seagate/ [...] cId=207931

I downloaded the firmware update, mounted the ISO on a cd, booted to cd, selected my drive when prompted..............nothing happens.

Has anyone else had to do this? How did it work? How do you know if the firmware updated?

My system still boots just fine. I need to update the firmware before the HD craps out.

any ideas?
