Has anyone purchased an amBX system for their computer? It has two led lights that you put by your computer, and it changes the lighting based on what is on your monitor. All of the reviews I've googled sound like they are written by Philips and totally biased, it seems expensive for what you get. The technology reminds me of the early days of force feedback. What do you think, worth a couple hundred bucks???
I got my premium kit for 130 (thats with shipping) and honestly, it makes me enjoy playing games I didnt enjoy before, like crysis and hawx.
To the games it has full support, it really adds a LOT to the experience, I.E. CoD 4. And for all the games that use FXGen (where the computer will detect what colors to display on the lights) it still reallly adds to it. It works well with a bunch of games, and the team at amBX has been working hard to get companies to put their technology into their games. A few companies on board so far are Ubisoft, THQ, Codemasters, Gamecock, Gearbox Software and Spark.
Not enough people know about amBX. If more people knew about it and were willing to try it, there would be a LOT more supporters.
I have showed it off to all of my friends thought it was amazing.
