I have a 22" monitor native resolution is 1680X1050, and the desktop icons are the smallest I can make them, but they are still a inch plus square, is there any way to make them smaller, I'd like to make them half the size they are now

Right click the desktop
View
Small Icons

Or hold down CTRL button on the keyboard, then turn the mouse scroll wheel, toward yourself to make it smaller or opsite direction to make it bigger
