Hey guys, I just got a athlon x2 6400+BE and when my puter starts up, it wont recognize what CPU it is, but it will recognize the speed.. Any ideas?

Even AMD CPU Info program doesn't recognize it lol..

Update that application and update your bios. That's a nice dual core proc.

Yes do what TC said, and also run CPU-Z and see if it picks it up.

Hmmm I cant update my bios, keeps saying that it cant verify the EEPRAM. No matter what version i try, downloaded or from the net..

Ok, AMD CPUInfo now finds it aswell as the bios at loading, but I still cant update my bios

Try updating the BIOS outside of Windows. Might work better.

Never mind? I restarted now its fine?? So confusing.. Appernetly it fixed itself through that.... Uhh close!?

The BIOS probably did actually flash it was just unable to verify.
When you start it up does the BIOS show the same version you 'tried' to flash it with?
