Componate Cables a few questions

I need some componate extension cables 1.8 metres would be fine. But
do componate come with male,female connections ??

From what i have seen they are all male and the devices are female you
plug into. I want to connect from my PC to my TV i have a DIN
connector which has 3 female connectors.

So if i bought the cablesi said male.male, they shoudl just connect to
my Cabled then into the Tv with no Problems right ??

/PS If i do this And and use my PC as a Media centre and i play a
1080i Video clip will that be 1080i on my TV. My TV is fully 1080i
certified. compatible and whatever. Can comonate do HD realy ??
